We cater for all ages from 4 right up to 74 and have a number of teams across the grades, both on grass and turf, to cater for a wide range of ability and commitment levels.

Our teams compete very well with our Youth Teams bring home some great results. Our Senior Women and Men consistently making finals and our Grass Grade Ladies winning their competition in 2017 and 2018. We have players who are selected for Canterbury representative teams and some of our members consistently get selected for Canterbury Masters to compete in the national tournament.

At Hinemoa-Kaiapoi Hockey Club we enjoy hockey and we are proactive in organising trips outside of Canterbury. We often travel around the South Island, and we’ve even made trips to Fiji in 2015 and 2019 for an international tournament!

Our club has teams in the following grades:

Children Year 1/2. Fun Sticks programme: This is a weekly session of games based on hockey skills and teaches the basics.

Children Year 3/4. Mini Sticks programme: Girls - 6 a-side competition on a Saturday and one training per week. Boys - 6 a-side competition on a Friday afternoon and one training a week.
Children Year 5-6. Kiwi Sticks programme: 6 a-side competition on a Saturday and one training per week.
Children Year 7-8. Kwik Sticks Super 7's programme: 7 a-side competition on a Saturday and one training per week.
Girls Under 18. Platinum women programme: Weekly competition (on a Sunday and one training per week.
Women's Grass. Senior Competition: Grass games on a Saturday afternoon.
Men's Mid Week Open. Senior Competition: Games on a Monday night at Nunweek Park, Nga Puna Wai or Mainpower Waimakiriri Turf
Women's Mid Week Open. Senior Competition: Games on a Tuesday night at Nunweek Park, Nga Puna Wai or Mainpower Waimakiriri Turf
