With the success of our last Derby Match following the joint anniversary of the opening of our Waimak Hockey Turf the Rangiora and Kaiapoi clubs want to carry on the tradition of our opening day hockey match! We invite you to again participate in clash of The Kings & Queens of the Waimak!

- This will be a mixed team of HKHC Men and Ladies v Rangiora Men and Ladies (including our Youth teams).

All current, new and past members invited to attend to hear a wrap up of the 2018 hockey season and where we will be moving forward to in 2019.

All Committee positions will be vacant and open for nomination including President, Treasurer and Secretary and all HKHC supporters and members are invited to join the committee team.

The end of our 2018 season is getting close and it's time to organise our Junior Prize Giving and Wind-up!

Don't forget to bring your hockey gear for the Kids V Adults Hockey Match followed by the Prize Giving and Wind-up celebration!

This event is for Kwiksticks, Kiwisticks, Ministicks and Funsticks players and supporters - all welcome, so bring along the whole family!

Our Senior Prize Giving and Wind-up has been set for Friday 31 August at CBK Craft Bar and Restaurant, Kaiapoi.

All are welcome to attend so gather your team mates and your supporters and head to our sponsor venue CBK for a great night!

Light finger food will be provided and cash bar.

This event is for Under 18 Boys and Under 18 Girls, Mid-Week Open teams and Senior Grass.

(Please note CBK is a licensed venue and minors will need to have a responsible adult accompanying them).

Gather your friends and family and come along to our HKHC Quiz Fundraiser being held on Sunday 23 July from 3pm at CBK Restaurant and Bar, Kaiapoi, for a fun afternoon while raising funds for Hinemoa-Kaiapoi Hockey Club!  This is a family friendly event, all ages are welcome.

Team registration is $60 per team with a maximum of 6 people in each team.  Register your Team name by emailing Claire: clingram75@gmail.com to secure your place.

Hockey New Zealand would like to extend an open invitation to EVERYONE in the hockey community to attend a meeting with members of the Strategy Delivery Review Working Group to discuss your views and experiences of hockey in New Zealand.  Each meeting will have a short presentation from a member of the Working Group, and then most of the time will be available for people to ask questions and provide input on the full range of topics being reviewed.

STIRLING SPORTS RANGIORA are hosting a "Hockey Hour" for Hinemoa-Kaiapoi Hockey Club on Sunday 30th April from 9am - 10am .

There will be mouthguard fittings and the Kookaburra Representative will also be bringing along sticks.

There's also a free coffee with every purchase.

A great chance to get everything you or your child needs for the season!

The Official opening of the our new hockey turf was a great success!  Thank you to all of you "good sticks" who came along and supported the club!

The AGM will be held at 10.45am at the club, the more hands we have on-board contributing to ensure the club is run smoothly the greater it is to be a part of – so Players, Parents and Supporters - WE NEED YOU - get on-board and raise your hand for a committee position it’s fun, doesn't take up too much time and it's giving back to the club!

JOIN THE FRIENDLY CLUB! COACHES, MANAGERS AND UMPIRES NEEDED

The club are very excited that 2017 will have more teams than ever this season! Which means we will be needing more helpers than ever to fill roles of Coaches, Managers and Umpires.

Without people fulfilling these roles we can't function as a club – if you have thought I could assist with this but I don’t have the skills – give it a go! The club will offer all the support we can to new coaches wanting to give it a go including coaching and umpiring courses – it’s so rewarding utilising your experience and skill set to unite and inspire a team to take to the field!

- We have lost two long term coaches from last season due to travel and family commitments so we will be absolutely in need of coaches for our Under 18 boys and Under 18 Girls teams – both teams play Friday nights on the turf leaving weekends free for those coaching this grade.

The club relies on our wonderful volunteers, without the support of the parents and players who get on-board and help with the running of the club we would not be the club we are – we invite you to put yourself forward and be an active member of our friendly club!

2017 Club Registration day will be held on Sunday 12 February from 10am – 10.30am at the Hinemoa-Kaiapoi Hockey Club - Kaiapoi Park, Smith Street, Kaiapoi.
